August 30, 2010

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Today is my birthday! I've already received a great gift in the form of a video from the Travis Irvine for Congress campaign. (Actually I'm not sure they intended it as a gift, but I'm pleased all the same.)

The video shows the candidate volunteering for the Quiz Across America door hanger project in his neighborhood and interacting with voters. Please visit our home page to see the video.

Arizona's U.S. Senate Race Offers a Unique Opportunity

posted by David Nolan on Aug 30, 2010

Perhaps more than any other contest this year, the battle for the seat currently held by John McCain offers an opportunity to contrast the ideas of liberty with the big-government philosophy that now dominates the GOP.

Arizona held its primary election on August 24, and the results are interesting, to say the least. On the Republican side, incumbent U.S. Senator John McCain overcame two challengers to win with 56% of the vote. At first glance, this may appear decent, but it was actually a pathetic showing.

The FDA Wants Jurisdiction over Your Kitchen!

“Since the FDA only has jurisdiction over compounds involved in ‘interstate commerce,’ they have no jurisdiction over our kitchens—yet.  Should my client lose this case, however, the FDA will have set a precedent to invade the privacy of our homes.”
